For me this photo is the most significant because this photo signifies that the war is over and was a huge relief for the entire nation because war was over. This image invokes a sense of love for my country for me because it shows the greatness of our nation. I wasn’t around when this photo came out, how ever it is relevant to me because it is apart of my nations history.

The photo was taken by Alfred Eisenstaedt on August 14, 1945. The photo was taken in time square right after the nation received the news that japan had surrendered and in the spur of the moment this couple kissed and Eisenstaedt took the photo. The reason this photo is so iconic is because it symbolized the end of a dark era>

Indeed Jobs

A photo job that I would be interested in would be a real estate Photographer because it is a very hand on job. The company that I found has been operating for over 16 years and has a crew of over 24 photographers. The company does not provide equipment, you will need to provide your own. There are no experience requirements for this job, you just have to be customer oriented and punctual. There schedule is very flexible. I think I would like this job because it would mean I am outside all the time and it the sun. I personally dislike sitting inside and being in one place for too long.

Jim Wark

The first article I read was on Jim Wark. Jim Wark is a photographer that takes photos form an airplane, it is an open cockpit air plane and cruises for photos around 75 mph. All of his photos are of nature from an areal view. I think that I would enjoy taking pictures form the air because it is an experience that can never be directly recreated and will live with you forever. One experience that Wark shared is when taking the picture of the red river his engine began to shake and loose power, he simply yelled “DON’T QUIT” and to his surprise the engine returned to full power and had a safe landing. I enjoy this because it shows how diverse photography can be.

John Tlumacki

The second article that I read was John Tlumacki’s experience with photography. Tlumacki is famous for his photos of the Boston marathon just moments after the bomb went off. Tlumacki’s portfolio is very diverse and he can quite literally shoot any style of photography. I find interest in Tlumacki because he is a very typical photographer and has built a solid client base and has been a photographer for a long time. If I where to be a photographer I would model my career steps after John’s because it is a solid way to build a career.
